TAJ MAHAL — A LOVE STORY

A one-of-one art handbag conceived, designed, and executed entirely by Wiciya from her original sketches. The work developed over nearly two years, from the first drawings to the selection and construction of every material element.

Its structure is built on a wooden frame and executed completely by hand. The work combines complex beadwork, three-dimensional bead structures, weaving, textile techniques, and detailed hand construction.

The narrative unfolds across two sides. One presents a modest desert scene with a tent and palm tree — an image of love lived in simplicity. The other presents the Taj Mahal, where love is preserved through monumentality and memory.

Together, the two sides hold two scales of the same human experience: love within an intimate life and love made visible through a monument known across the world.

Materials include genuine Italian leather, Japanese and Czech beads, Swarovski crystals, and other carefully selected luxury-class materials.

This work exists as a single original. It has never been copied, repeated, or produced as an edition.
