COLLECTION I — THE EMERGENCE OF PRESENCE

A foundational collection within Bead Impact Art.

The Emergence of Presence is the first completed collection within Bead Impact Art. It brings together a sequence of Units created during the early formation of the field, when the relationship between material action, presence, and revealed light was being established.

Each Unit is complete in itself. At the same time, the Units are connected by a continuous movement. Together they form a passage through pressure, silence, attention, accumulation, release, and weightlessness — and from there, toward an outward movement into lived reality.

THE PASSAGE

Unit 013 — Leverage begins with pressure: a concentrated act that establishes force, direction, and the possibility of movement. A single bead is fixed to the Carrier through a real human act. The surface remains visually restrained, yet its condition has changed. A decision has entered matter and remains there as a physical fact. Through this act, the capacity for action returns.

From this pressure, the collection moves into Unit 014 — Silence I, Unit 015 — Silence II, and Unit 016 — Silence III. Silence is not emptiness or absence. It becomes a condition in which attention can gather, pressure can settle, and presence can become more perceptible. Across the three Units, the visible condition changes only slightly, while the relationship between the act, the Carrier, and the state carried by the Unit becomes increasingly precise.

Unit 017 — Catharsis introduces a different condition. Here the act accumulates. Multiple beads are fixed to the Carrier, and the concentration held through the earlier Units begins to disperse. The movement passes through tension toward release without becoming an illustration of that release. The state is carried through the material action itself.

In Unit 018 — Weightlessness, accumulation reaches another threshold. What has gathered no longer carries only density or weight. Through repetition, placement, and the relationship between the beads and the Carrier, accumulation begins to produce the opposite sensation: lightness.

Here, the passage through the canvases reaches its completion. What began as pressure has moved through silence, attention, accumulation, and catharsis toward release and freedom.

BEYOND THE CANVAS

With Unit 019 — One Gold and Unit 020 — Transcendence, the movement changes direction.

These two Units do not introduce two additional stages into the passage. Instead, the Carrier changes. What has emerged through the canvases can now move beyond the fixed Carrier and enter the external world.

Both are brooch Units and full, integral parts of Collection I.

Unit 019 — One Gold carries abundance outward. What has emerged through the passage is no longer held only within the surface; it can be carried by a human being and enter movement, encounter, and lived space.

Unit 020 — Transcendence carries this movement further. Presence leaves the fixed Carrier and enters the world with the person who carries the Unit. What was reached through the passage becomes capable of continuing beyond it.

The collection therefore does not describe a narrative in the conventional sense. Its movement is not produced through depicted events or symbolic imagery. It develops through changes in state and through the material acts by which those states enter reality.

A bead may appear almost insignificant in relation to the Carrier, yet the act through which it is fixed is real. The bead is fixed through a real human act. What has happened becomes fixed in matter.

This is the central condition of the collection: presence is not represented from a distance. It enters through action.

The Units do not need to become visually complex in order to carry different states. One bead may be sufficient. Another Unit may require accumulation, repetition, duration, or density. Quantity does not determine completion. Each Unit stops when the state, feeling, meaning, or condition for which it was created has been fulfilled.

Seen together, the Units form the first extended movement within Bead Impact Art: from a single concentrated act toward silence, accumulation, catharsis, release, and weightlessness — and from there beyond the fixed surface, into abundance, movement, and lived reality.

The collection reveals that an artwork does not need to depend on representation in order to carry an inner state. A state can enter matter through a real human act, remain there as fact, and through another Carrier continue outward into the world.
