The Unit

A Unit is the primary artistic unit of Bead Impact Art — a new field of art founded by Wiciya.

A Unit appears from the need to act: to express oneself, one’s inner state, the state of the world, or an important meaning.

This need enters the work through the chosen field, colour, texture, bead, thread, and the exact place of action.

The bead enters the chosen field through a real human act.
It goes beyond the image and reveals light.

A Unit begins with one bead because one material bead is enough to reveal the central statement of Bead Impact Art:

Light is infinite.

Quantity does not define the Unit.
One bead can be enough because light is not measured by accumulation.

The action begins with one bead and may be completed by one bead.
The action may continue and accumulate, but it may stop at any moment.

A Unit is complete when the light, feeling, state, or meaning it was created to reveal has been fulfilled.

In a Unit, the bead is the point where the chosen field, colour, texture, action, feeling, state, and meaning reveal real light.

Presence opens through the act.

One bead.
One act.
Light revealed.

The foundational Unit of Bead Impact Art is the Statement Unit.

In the Statement Unit, one bead goes beyond the black image and reveals light.

Through this first material act, Bead Impact Art became visible as a new field of art.
