UNIT 007 — I AM NOT AFRAID

I Am Not Afraid is a Unit within the project 9 STATES.

The Unit does not attempt to depict fearlessness as strength, certainty, or heroic resistance.

Fear may remain present.

Uncertainty may remain present.

What changes is the decision to act while they are present.

The bead enters a field already carrying movement and tension. It does not remove these conditions. The act is small in relation to the surrounding field, yet it remains fixed within it.

For this reason, the Unit does not claim that fear has ceased to exist. It establishes another fact beside it: the person has acted.

I Am Not Afraid preserves the moment in which fear no longer determines whether action can occur.
