UNIT 012 — LIKE SILENCE

Like Silence is a Unit within the project 9 STATES.

The Unit approaches silence without attempting to represent it.

Silence is not emptiness and it is not the absence of action. A real act can occur without breaking the condition in which it takes place.

Here, the bead enters the field almost imperceptibly. It does not demand attention or interrupt the surrounding state. The act remains precise, restrained, and complete.

Presence therefore does not need to become louder in order to become real.

The field continues to hold its quiet condition after the act has occurred, but it is no longer identical to what existed before. A material fact has entered it.

Like Silence preserves an act whose presence does not need to disturb silence in order to exist.
